Consulting IT: Soon to be classed as an Essential Service?

Since 1996 Consulting IT have engaged in a number of large-scale projects and deployments across Professional Services/ Not for Profit/ Mining and Energy/ Engineering and Manufacturing sectors, our flexibility in all aspects of the IT business allows our clients ease of mind when dealing with a professional Managed Service Provider and our highly skilled staff.

As a responsible organisation Consulting IT have helped to #flattenthecurve by sending staff home to ensure the health of our staff, our clients and of course the all-important business continuity of ourselves as a business in the Managed Service Provider (MSP) field.

Consulting IT has always been a company at the forefront of technology, being early adapters of progressive technologies has allowed us to stay ahead of the curve and this is another example.

Working closely with major international partners we see that Homeland Security are classing some MSP’s in some states as an ”Essential Service” which we are also lobbying for here.

In the US, IT companies who support energy and utilities, command centres, data centres operators or who are IT managers, data transfer solutions engineers, software/ hardware engineers as well as banks and financial institutions are all now being classed as “Essential Services”.

According to homeland security IT is an “Essential Service” as we support the provision of essential national and local infrastructure for computing services (incl. cloud computing services), business infrastructure, web-based services, supporting communications systems and information technology used by law enforcement, public safety, medical, energy and other critical industries.

Consulting IT have a number of customers in the Professional Services/ Energy/ Non for Profit (Govt aligned key service providers)/ Engineering and Manufacturing sectors so Australian Government is likely to follow suit of the US and NZ and deem that Consulting IT and our client base easily qualifies as being an “Essential Service” moving forward.

Our experience in crisis management, disaster recovery and time critical project work has proven to be the major point of difference as has our open and transparent communication.
